When you report a bug, include your iPhone model, iOS version and the app version (Settings › Version); it helps us fix it sooner.
Account
- How do I delete my account?
- Settings › Account › Delete account. Once you confirm with Apple, Google or your password, your account and everything you keep on Anibito (your library, reviews, comments and lists) are deleted for good. This can’t be undone.
- How do I download my data?
- Settings › Data › Export your data. Your profile, library, ratings, comments, lists and settings come as one JSON file. From the same place you can also get your list as an XML file that MyAnimeList can import.
- I forgot my password.
- Tap “Forgot password” on the sign-in screen and a reset link goes to your email. If you signed in with Apple or Google, you don’t need a password.
- What does a private account do?
- With Settings › Privacy › Private account on, only people you follow can see your reviews, lists and who you follow. Your name and photo stay visible.
Lists and reminders
- Can I bring my list from another app?
- Yes. In Settings › Import, type your MyAnimeList, AniList or Kitsu username; your list has to be public. From MyAnimeList, your manga comes too.
- I don’t get episode reminders.
- Check three things: the show is on your list as “Watching”, “New episode” is on in Settings › Notifications, and notifications are allowed in your iPhone’s Settings › Notifications › Anibito. The reminder comes 15 minutes before the broadcast; for shows without a broadcast time, it comes when the new episode is out.
- Which time zone are broadcast times in?
- Your phone’s. Times on the calendar and the countdowns are in your own time.
Community
- How do I report something or someone?
- Open the menu on a review, a list or a profile, tap “Report” and pick a reason. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours, and the person you report won’t see who reported them.
- How do I block someone?
- Choose “Block” in the menu on their profile or review. You won’t see their content again. You can unblock them in Settings › Privacy › Blocked.
General
- Is Anibito free?
- Yes. Lists, the calendar, reminders and stats are always free, and there are no ads. The optional Anibito+, coming later, will only add extras.
- Which devices can I use?
- Coming soon to the App Store for iPhone; the Android version is on its way.
